Engaging Families in Early Education Research and Advocacy Symposium – UNSW Sydney

On 25 October 2024, the research team hosted a high-level early childhood education and care (ECEC) symposium to establish advocacy and research directions for the sector, with a specific focus on the provision of high quality ECEC services to low-income families. The symposium featured findings from the Engaging Families in Early Childhood research project, as well as Professor Deborah Brennan’s insights from the Productivity Commission review. Facilitated table discussion and panel discussion helped generate robust discussion and consideration of the future research and advocacy steps.

Recordings from the symposium are available:

Session 1 | Engaging Families overview and findings

Session 2 | Deborah Brennan | A path to universal early childhood education and care
